Amit is the CEO of Crunch Mediaworks. He led the transformation of Crunch from a fledgling technology to a disruptive and world-class video optimization service, proven to surpass incumbents, substantially increasing Crunch’s market potential. Crunch is in a pole position in the emerging and rapidly growing Social Media Video advertising market.
Amit’s ability to innovate, create and market solutions is based on previous experiences. Prior to Crunch, he invented the lowest power consuming multimedia processor in the industry. Intel signed a $25M architectural license, shifting that company to profitability. Amit was the youngest member of the Pentium 3-M (Intel’s first chip purpose-built for mobile) architecture team (of 8) that came up with a data prefetch logic, beating the Pentium 4 in performance (tens of millions of units sold in three years). After that, he led successful design wins for Toshiba America, for Nokia and Motorola phones, including the camera module in the RAZR phone. Amit is credited with creating a video-system-on-a- chip that delivered 8X more computing at 80% lower power than the incumbent system from TI. He was instrumental in closing deals for over $50M with Olympus and Nokia.
He has been awarded 12 patents to date, four of which were acquired by Nvidia, and three by Altera. Amit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras (India) and a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Utah State University.
Masoud is the COO of Crunch Mediaworks. He brings extensive operational experience from both public and private technology sectors. Masoud is responsible for everything in corporate operations including; finance, procurement, legal, HR & facilities and creates an environment that fosters innovation and growth. Previously, he successfully managed operations for two startups, managing all aspects of their corporate operations. Masoud was the VP Operations for a large Silicon Valley public EDA company of over 1000 people worldwide. In his capacity, he not only managed all aspects of corporate operations but also initiated and led the selection/deployment of automated processes in procurement, accounts payable approval, expense reporting & management, travel booking, and corporate facility management. Masoud was a key contributor to deploying a corporate-wide FP&A. He helped with a successful acquisition and was instrumental in ensuring a seamless transition.
Masoud has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from California State University and a certification in Value Engineering.
Roger Sanford is a seasoned entrepreneur who has helped over 20 start-ups to a higher than average rate of success. He is also an award-winning Filmmaker, Advertising Creative, TV Producer and Product Designer. He exited his own boot-strapped start-up Digital Agency, P3M at $100M. A lifetime innovative problem solver, who holds 5 patents, he is committed to taking Crunch Mediaworks to the next level. As both a successful CEO and CMO, he lead efforts to re-engineer and re-strategize brands for Apple, Alcatel Lucent, Apptricity, AT&T, BT, Chevron, eBay, Epson, Ford, GMC, HP, IBM, Kodak, Mercedes, Match.com, Nokia, PGP, Sabre, Samsung, Skyy Vodka (created blue bottle), Siemens, Sony, UPS, Varian, Verizon & Volvo. He created the categories of “mSupply Chain”, “MaaS”, “vPBX”,”eCRM”, & “B2Me”.
As a Dean’s Professor, he taught eMBA’s @ Santa Clara University and refined the methodology of “Geogrowth” to help companies grow rapidly. Now attached to Crunch, he supports the CEO’s Vision & Leadership. He has a BA from UCSC and an eMBA from Santa Clara.
Hussain is all things customer at Crunch MediaWorks. He brings to Crunch over 15 years of diverse experience in areas such as Field Operations, Support (customer, partner & product) and Quality Assurance in industries such as Technology, Travel, Retail servicing various fortune 500 clients. Hussain brings a skill set in “people” that’s industry leading. Hussain has also run Field Service Operations in Italy and India. His work experience ranges from early stage startups leading teams as small as 6 members to large multinational organizations where he was responsible for over 300 employees globally.
Hussain has done his Masters in Industrial Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute & his BE in Electronics and Communications from University of Madras.
Karthik is part of a new engineering breed; he’s a “Renaissance engineer.”” His background spans the worlds of Video, Film, Cloud & Mobile software and more on a global stage. Exposed to real-world experiences of the digital age, he knows the importance of thinking about the field of engineering in a broad range of contexts, including economic, business, societal, and historical. Experience in managing software product development using agile methodologies Direct Experience on managing a mobile application development team. A video software entrepreneur with 7+ year’s experience in hiring a talented professionals and retaining them in all stages of a product life-cycle, from specifications through release. His extensive knowledge and experience in managing an overseas team helps Crunch “surf the world”. He has 18+ years of total experience in the software development. Highly talented in managing concurrent projects with parallel team efforts, his proficiency is working in a fast-paced, flat, agile, and distributed environment. With in-depth experience in video streaming technologies on the cloud, he keeps Crunch rolling at a rapid rate. His ability to communicate engineering concepts to the public and his team, in a collaborative way is refreshing. As a lead renaissance engineer with his superb technical know-how, he leads the full range of human experience.
